TAX SEASON INFO
2025 INDIVIDUAL TAX FILINGS
Tax season doesn’t have to be stressful. This page outlines what to expect this year — including important deadlines, how to use your secure client portal, what happens if deadlines are missed, and opportunities for proactive planning beyond tax filing.
Important Dates
IRS Filing Season Opens
January 26th, 2026
The IRS begins accepting 2025 tax returns once filing season opens. As soon as you receive your tax forms, you can begin uploading documents and completing your organizer in the portal.
Secure Document Upload Deadline
March 15th, 2026
To be eligible for timely filing, we require all tax documents to be submitted by March 15th, 2026. Documents received after this date will be prepared under extension.
IRS Filing & Payment Deadline
April 15th, 2026
The federal filing and payment deadline is April 15th, 2026. An extension extends the time to file, but does not extend the time to pay.
If You Miss the March 15 Cutoff
TBD
If we do not receive everything needed by March 15th, we will file an extension and complete your return once documents are received. We’ll keep you updated through the portal.
How Tax Season Works
1
Engagement & Portal Setup
Once the IRS opens for filing, we'll send our kick-off communication to our existing clients so they may begin the tax preparation process. New clients can request access anytime by clicking the "Access Portal" link below.
2
Organizer & Uploads
Upload all documents to your portal as soon as you receive them and answer all questions in your organizer as thoroughly as possible. This helps increase a quicker turnaround and prevents bottlenecks later in the season.
3
Preparation & Review
Preparation begins when all documents are uploaded and the organizer is fully completed. We’ll reach out throughout the process if we have any questions or need any additional information to prepare your complete and best return.
4
Filing on Time or Extension

Complete submissions received by March 15th are prepared and filed by the IRS deadline. Incomplete submissions or returns missing information (by March 15th) are placed on extension and completed once all items are received.
Deadlines & What Happens If You Miss Them
To ensure accurate and timely filing, all documents must be submitted by March 15th, 2026.
If documents are incomplete or missing after that date:
Your return will be placed on extension
An extension extends the time to file, not the time to pay*
Any tax due is still payable by April 15th, 2026

This policy helps us give every client the time and attention their return deserves.
